Dense Motion Field Estimation by 3-D Gabor Representation (WA-P1)

Abstract : The paper presents two enhancements to motion estimation based on the 3-D Gabor representation: First, we modified the previous reported algorithm for piecewise translational motion estimation, introducing a new searching stratagem and solving the estimation bias problem encountered in our practice; Second, in order to achieve better spatiotemporal resolution, we constructed an new algorithm that can provide dense motion field estimation.
