Abstract:
This paper introduces the concept of mobility when controlling and monitoring RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) systems. Mobile controlled RFID systems enable the remote tracking of RFID tags. The RFID system automatically sends information about the tag movements to the mobile phone. The user can also find out which tags are within the operating range of known RFID readers. Mobile connection between the user and the RFID system is made through the GSM (Global System Mobile communications) network packet switched GPRS (General Packet Radio System) service. IP based (Internet Protocol) communication format allows the system to be applied in different cases and enables the use of other wireless or wired connections.
