The technological systems of the next century that will be characterized by massive interconnection, processing of huge amounts of data, new forms of synergy between humans and technical systems, and challenging requirements for substantially improved performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
The round table will review the problems and novel needs and problems that appear in a set of key sectors and discuss the challenges that the field of systems and control has to address in the coming future to model, analyze, design, simulate, optimize, validate, and verify these technological systems which transcend the traditional problem formulations in these areas.
