Abstract : A system is described for tracking the positions of football players during a match. The input is eight video streams from static cameras, each processed to generate meas-urements: these provide input for a multi view tracker for all the players. The single-view processing includes an image-plane, bounding-box tracker designed to improve the reliability of measurements of occluded players. The multi-view process uses one Kalman tracker per player. After a data association stage, measurements from differ-ent cameras are fused, with full covariance integration, to calculate the innovation and update for each tracked player. Results are demonstrated on real data.
