Abstract

In this paper, the problem of blind estimation of signal parameters of wide-band signals in mobile communications systems is addressed. Specifically, it is shown that the wide-band assumption implies that a nonunit time-scale factor needs to be accounted for in the received-signal model even for moderate data-record lengths. Moreover, cyclostationarity and conjugate cyclostationarity properties are exploited to estimate the time-scale factor, frequency offset, scaling amplitude, phase shift, and time delay of the received signal. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
